Bill Wright is a partner in our Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. offices and is a member of the firm's Employee Benefits Practice Group. He concentrates his practice in all aspects of employee benefits, including the concerns unique to pension and welfare plans sponsored by state and local government entities, international and cross-border issues related to employee benefits and executive compensation, employee benefit plans sponsored by nonprofit organizations, private health and welfare benefit plans, private defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans and Taft-Hartley retirement and welfare funds. Bill has extensive experience with 401(k) compliance issues as well as addressing other issues associated with all types of tax qualified retirement plans.Bill also has assisted clients with executive compensation matters, including questions related to deferred compensation, equity compensation arrangements and other types of non-qualified retirement plans.

Bill also works closely with the firm's Global Immigration practice. He counsels employers and individual clients on various employment, compensation and benefit issues related to the employment of foreign nationals in the U.S., as well as the employment of U.S. permanent residents and citizens abroad.

Bill has also contributed employee benefits-related articles to the International Pension Lawyer, Metropolitan Corporate Counsel and other publications. He has participated as a speaker in several employee benefits related programs, including those offered by the International Pension and Employee Benefits Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association's Sections on Taxation and International Law, the Pennsylvania Government Financial Officer's Association and the National Conference of State Legislatures, as well as programs sponsored by business organizations and local bar associations.
